JUDGES
For any awards, carrying out fair, consistent, and accurate judging is key to ensuring the true winners are recognized. To deliver this, we have assembled a diverse and unbiased judging panel of experts. The judges are assigned categories which reflect their expertise and are asked to recuse themselves from voting in any category in which there is a conflict of interest.
All Judges are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement for the purpose of preventing the unauthorized disclosure of confidential information. This includes the sharing of the information contained within the submission forms with any third parties and communicating with shortlisted nominees in any way.
2026 JUDGES
Karin Levi
Throughout her career, Karin has advised and supported some of the world’s most recognized financial brands including Mastercard, JPMorgan, Allianz, Deutsche Bank, and New York Life, helping them translate innovation, trust, and technology into real customer impact.
Karin is deeply passionate about women’s financial empowerment, a commitment shaped in part by raising two daughters and wanting them to grow up with independence, confidence, and access. She believes that when women control wealth, families, communities, and economies thrive and she works to amplify stories and data that make that case impossible to ignore.
Outside of LinkedIn, Karin serves on the Board of Directors of The Family Center, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit supporting families facing crisis. She is a proud Syracuse University alumna, and as any true Orangewoman would, named her dog Carmelo Anthony. She is also a semi-professional poker player who believes the game sharpens strategy, confidence, and risk-taking, skills women deserve to own both at the table and in financial decision-making.
Lindsey Lewis
Lindsey Lewis is a trailblazing voice at the intersection of women and finance, empowering women to take ownership of their financial futures. As a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and Chartered Financial Consultant®, she combines technical expertise with a deep commitment to expanding representation and opportunities within the financial services industry.
She serves as Managing Director and Chair of the Center for Women in Financial Services at The American College of Financial Services, where she leads nationally recognized research and industry initiatives focused on inclusive leadership, advisor development, and attracting the next generation of talent. She also co-chairs the College’s Next Gen Advisory Task Force, helping shape the future of the profession.
With experience at a large RIA and Vanguard, Lindsey brings a practitioner’s perspective to her leadership and advocacy. Her impact has been recognized by InvestmentNews and other industry organizations, including the 2025 and 2023 InvestmentNews Hot List, the InvestmentNews 40 Under 40, the Excell Represents Rising Star Woman in Wealth Management award, and Aspioneer’s 20 Under 40 list.
Holding dual degrees in Personal Financial Planning and an MBA from Utah Valley University, Lindsey blends academic excellence with real-world advisory insight. As she returns to her roots in personal advising, she brings the full breadth of her experience to serve clients as a financial advisor, helping them design meaningful, financially confident lives.
Sheena Gray
where she leads with strategic clarity, enterprise discipline, and an unwavering commitment to expanding equity
and representation across the financial services landscape. With more than 24 years of leadership experience in
the financial services including a background as a formally licensed financial advisor, Sheena has built a
reputation as a forward-thinking executive at the intersection of risk, policy, and industry transformation.
She was named one of Barron’s “People to Watch in Wealth Management” in 2025, honoring her influential role
in reshaping access to financial careers and driving institutional accountability across the sector. Under her
leadership, Quad-A has expanded strategic partnerships, grown national influence, and deepened engagement
with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and emerging talent, positioning the organization as a
critical pipeline builder for underrepresented advisors.
Prior to her role at Quad-A, Sheena served as a Global KYC/Cybersecurity Executive and a Global Executive for
Leadership & Organizational Strategy at J.P. Morgan Chase. In these roles, she led enterprise-wide regulatory
programs, risk mitigation initiatives, and strategic inclusion frameworks that enhanced organizational integrity,
performance, and innovation. Her ability to synthesize complex regulatory landscapes with people-centered
leadership has made her a trusted advisor and transformational change agent.
Sheena also plays an active role in shaping national policy. She engages directly with Congressional leaders and
federal agencies to advance legislation that supports Black advisors and promotes broader access to financial
services and wealth-building resources in underserved communities.
She holds an MBA in Management from DePaul University, a Bachelor’s degree in the Sociology of Law, and she
is frequently sought after for her insights on leadership, governance, inclusive growth, and regulatory
transformation. Her professional approach is grounded in impact, intentionality, and integrity. A proud mother of
six, Sheena brings a holistic, purpose-driven lens to leadership one rooted in legacy, balance, and sustainable
success.
Brenda Chia
Before Paladin, Brenda built an international career developing and executing strategy, marketing, and operational initiatives for global financial services firms. She held senior roles at The Boston Consulting Group and Accenture across Singapore, London, Wellington (New Zealand), and Boston.
A tireless advocate for diversity in investing, Brenda has testified before Congress on expanding participation by women- and minority-owned funds in the investment industry. She serves as Board Co-Chair of the Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM), a national platform that convenes institutional capital and Asian American investors across asset classes to conduct business and build alliances. As its founding President since 2007, she has guided AAAIM to national prominence, setting its strategic vision, leading fundraising, and growing its network to more than 8,000 asset owners and managers.
Brenda was named a 2022 Women to Watch in Private Equity by the Wall Street Journal.
Brenda’s has roots in Singapore. She holds a BS from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from Harvard Business School, and is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and Bahasa Indonesia.
George Nichols III
Prior to joining New York Life, Nichols was the State of Kentucky’s first Black insurance commissioner, leading regulation of the state’s $10 billion insurance industry through his expertise in health insurance reform and financial services integration. He gained this knowledge through stints as the executive director of the Kentucky Health Policy Board, vice president of marketing for Athena of North America, executive director of product development with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kentucky, CEO of Central State Hospital in Louisville, and executive assistant to the Commissioner of the Kentucky Department for Mental Health Services.
Nichols has been acclaimed for his efforts to drive transformative change in the financial services profession and elsewhere. Savoy, a leading Black business and lifestyle magazine, named him among the “Most Influential Black Corporate Executives” twice: in 2012 and 2018; and among the “Most Influential Black Corporate Directors” in 2021. He was named to Forbes’ inaugural 2021 edition of “The Culture 50 Champions.” Nichols was honored as one of “The Ten to Watch in 2021” by WealthManagement.com, and in 2022, he won a ThinkAdvisor Luminaries award for Executive Leadership, followed by InvestmentNews’ recognition in 2023 for the year’s See It, Be It role model. Additionally, Nichols is the inaugural recipient of the Alonzo Herndon Award by Business Insurance Magazine.
Nichols is a member of the board of directors at OneAmerica® Financial and currently serves as chair of the board at City Year, a national nonprofit organization focused on improving educational outcomes for students in underserved communities.
Nichols received his associate degree from Alice Lloyd College, his bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University, and his master’s degree from the University of Louisville. Nichols earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designation in 2023.
Kara Valentine
Kara Valentine is a Managing Director at The Rudin Group, responsible for high-net-worth (HNW) and registered investment advisors (RIA) marketing strategy. Kara’s extensive career spans from wirehouse to bank wealth management to family office, and the independent RIA channel. The brands Kara has helped build include Morgan Stanley, Bank of America’s Global Wealth and Investment Management Division – Merrill Lynch and U.S. Trust, Dynasty Financial Partners, Rockefeller Capital Management, Cary Street Partners, and Transcend Capital Advisors before she joined The Rudin Group in 2023.
Kara’s marketing expertise includes strategic and tactical execution for brands, creative design, storytelling, lead generation, internal and external communication, and MarTech platforms.
Kara serves on the Executive Board for the Center for Marketing and Consumer Insights at the Villanova School of Business. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Marketing from Villanova University.
Nina Stibbs
In 2019, Nina founded the Female Advisor Network, a national membership organization dedicated to empowering female financial advisors, which merged with the Women’s Leadership Alliance in 2024 where she now serves on the board. She has a passion for helping to drive industry advancement for female financial advisors as well as all women in financial services.
Nina enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, attending sporting events, and spending lots of time with her husband and children.
Chrissy Lee
Chrissy Lee serves as Chief Operating Officer of Merit Financial Advisors, where she oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm, scaling the firm’s infrastructure, and aligning strategy, people, and execution across the enterprise.
As a member of Merit’s executive leadership team, she plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s growth strategy while ensuring consistent, high-quality experience for advisors, teams, and clients.
In her role, Chrissy oversees firmwide operations, technology, data, integration, and strategic initiatives, with a particular focus on enabling scalable growth through disciplined processes and thoughtful innovation. She is deeply involved in Merit's M&A integration efforts, helping newly acquired firms transition smoothly while preserving advisor autonomy and client service excellence.
Chrissy also partners closely with leadership to modernize systems and implement AI-enabled solutions.
Chrissy translates strategic vision into actionable execution. She is passionate about building strong teams, developing leaders, and designing operating models that balance efficiency with flexibility, allowing advisors to focus on what matters most: serving their clients.
